Cargo Warehousing

Any movement of cargoes abroad needs their customs clearance. This procedure is carried out at special terminals. Quite often goods is delayed at customs and sometimes for quite a long time. As part of the terminal there are places specially used for its storage - TSW, i.e. temporary storage warehouses.
The peculiarity of such warehouses is that it is possible to place the cargo there without establishing customs regulations. Unless such regulations are chosen, the goods can to be located in a temporary warehouse.
In order to place the goods in the TSW, documents which contain the following information are required:

  • product name and usage, manufacturing country;
  • quantity of goods and packages, cost;
  • special characteristics of cargo packaging and marking;
  • weight and cubage;
  • product code in compliance with the Foreign Trade Commodity Classification.

The owner of the cargo can leave it in TWS for the period of up to two months. In this case, customs control is established over the goods. If it is necessary to extend the term, it is possible if the corresponding permit is executed.

In order not to worry about the correct registration and safety of goods left in the TSW, experienced and forward-thinking entrepreneurs entrust this procedure to professionals, such as Transel.
